CLINICAL INTERN

MaryKate earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston as well as her Masters of Science in Child and Adolescent Development Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. She is currently working towards her Masters with a Dual Licensure in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling at Bridgewater State University. She has experience working at a private school as the Student Services Coordinator, providing social skills lessons, direct counseling and group counseling lessons to children ages 3 to 14.

 

MaryKate's approach to counseling is rooted in person-centered ideas, while finding value in learning skills through behavior therapies. Her goal as a counselor is to aid her clients in finding their inner strengths and building on their skills. MaryKate's warm, empathetic nature in combination with her authenticity and willingness to connect provides a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and ideas. She hopes to provide a supportive, collaborative space where clients and thier support systems feel seen, respected, encouraged and in control of their journey.
