TRAUMA

We work under the belief that trauma is any event that has happened in life that leaves you feeling negatively towards yourself; whether it is the result of a single incident, a prolonged, chronic experience throughout childhood or an exposure to an unhealthy emotional environment. Regardless of the type, traumatic events can lead to hypervigilance, avoidance, isolation and shame and can have significant effects on individuals long after their traumatic experience. When trauma is left unprocessed it can show up in our lives in a myriad of ways. For trauma survivors entering therapy is often an act of courage. We are committed to provide you with a safe, non–judgmental space to process your experience as you move towards healing.
